Compelled to open our eyes,
At the behest of the Fates who us here they brought
My mother was a whore, yours a saint,
Some a night of passion or others a bloody rape,
Priests and rabbis spread your lies,
Scientists are no better,
So choose your master carefully,
To whom you will be fettered
I go to church, to mosque or temple,
I beg and pray and know my place,
Underling of higher being,
Smite me under heel,
For tis not my wish to do your good work,
You feel not how I feel,
Slave of genetic codes,
How can I escape?
Am I the sum of genes poor worth?
God was never such a reprobate,
I grow in the confines of a finite box,
Extremities twist, gnarl and deform,
And when I awaken product of my genes,
I wonder as to why I had been born,
Organized automatons marching to their death,
Living vicarious through their lord,
Whether gold, glory or God,
Dying for their sword,
Where is the freedom of my Sod?
Depravity of mankind,
I look in vain for that angel, whom I cannot find,
They bite; they snarl; they scratch and claw,
Over that last scrap of meat,
Privy to this world of hate,
I have no more tears to weep,
The tyranny is not Gods blame,
Tis in the souls of Man,
The society’s bane,
I know not from whence I came,
Puppet on a string,
But where I’ll go is my choice,
For that no one is my king,
So take a long life as a slave,
Lie in that bed and let them choose;
You have a long life to live
And I a short one to loose,
Not doctors, not Gods, not Man,
Can command me when to wake,
Free to for to close my eyes,
It is my life to take
